I've got a career going off of the coast of Poland out of Constanza...worthless, I think...have to have that little bitty einbaum...why couldn't they have based a Type VII out of Constanza?!

What ? Is Constantza in Poland ?...that;s strange...I live at 260 km of Constanta, and I live in Romania.

I meant that early on in the war the Polish navy is your sport/target/enemy in this area....similarly like UK were everywhere else

In fact there was about 17 german submarines that was sunk during the war in the baltic sea so there was a sub war even in thos waters

But most of the subs was sunk by russian mines.
The germany also used the baltic sea as a training ground for new sailors. So a few of the subs sunk due accidents/collisions etc.
