Default GWX Idiosyncrasy...

I noticed last nite that while at the periscope if I fire more than one torp the torp tracking window covers the buttons when trying to use the WO to figure a solution....is there a way to fix this without closing the window?? I dont figure the solution manually and rely on the WO to do this....and when trying to fire multiple torps this is a problem....I really dont want to deselect the torp tracking if I can avoid it as I like to follow them occasionally......

Can you click and hold on the picture and move it around? I have never tried as I do not use the window.

I'm at a loss then for an answer. Perhaps the numbers used to make the picture show on that part of the screen can be changed to move it somewhere else when it appears????

I know that in the 1.1a version ...when I clicked on the WO when firing multiple torps....the window would close on its own....and the buttons would appear...with GWX the buttons are smaller and show up behind the window making it impossible to get at.....without closing the window completely...

I foudn the same thing but then I just killed the event window. I never really used it much anyway and I still use the external camera cos I'm addicted to eye candy.

Your choice is simple IMO...if you want to access the WO....disable the event one

So......other than deselecting the window in the realism options......I guess there is no fix for this......will this be addressed in the next update by chance???? Cause I like the eye candy also.......Slick

Or have some practice and learn to do without the WO... This guy coming up with his instant magic solution is a show killer...
It took me a long time to get rid of him, was progressive (in the beginning was using it totally, then using it only to confirm my estimates, then not using it at all anymore)
These days I don't even man the station anymore and find it more rewarding.
Well to be true I don't use the event camera either, so I don't have the problem...

W00t, don't you need him to open your torpedo tube doors in advance? Pressing Q without him doesn't seem to work

No reason why it should not be working, it's not the WO who opens the tube doors... Never had this problem.
I personnally prefer to use the switches in the conning tower under the periscope when submerged or the ones from the control room if surfaced. I have visual confirmation of which ones are open.
