Looks good as always bro, keep up the good work. I need to try my hand at skinning, I have the Skinning Final pdf, and never use it.

Anyway, can't wait to see what you come up with next

Looks good from here...keep it up

Edit: two quick questions 1) are they GWX compatible? 2) Do you have plans for some type IX's ?

Man that last screenshot almost looks like a painting. Great work, on all three of them.

I think the screenshots take the longest. Moving around the boat trying to get a good detailed shot with the correct light and sea conditions. I suppose my theory is to give the member as much visual information as possible prior to hopefully downloading the skin. I use Paintshop Pro 7, for all my skinning and tweak the images prior to uploading to this forum. I was a big skinner of the IL2 series (Luftwaffe aircraft) till the IL2 skins web site went KABOOOOOM !

The only thing I can skin reasonably well are the racing cars for a bunch of sims, but the templates for IL2 (and any other flightsim I might have seen templates from, Lock-On for example) scare the living daylights out of me. Way too many panels, flaps, etc.

Cars are much easier.

One would think that a site like the IL2 Skins website would reappear in one form or another, there must be thousands of people who now miss it.

The owner of the site has been trying for almost two years to get it back up and running, I keep checking now and then to see how the sites coming along....but it's still not really going anywhere. IL2 skinning reminds me alot of this game, you could skin the pilots faces/clothing, skin the aircraft.

I must admit the IL2 aircraft template were alot user friendly than the U-Boat files. I'm still really don't know what objects are what...for example I would love to change the ancor to a different colour than the haul, but that's still a mistery to me. It's more the finer detail I want to skin sepreate from the hual...the cables, ladder steps on the conning tower, ancor, railings and so on.

Yes mate they are 100% GWX friendly, I'm currently reloading all the skins... I've just found that I can make the textures even better using something I found in Paintshop Pro 7, so I''ll start reloading from the top and re-submit new images.
