That happens to me sometimes as well.. Currently I'm in the middle of a 28 merchant/tanker convoy with escorts coming in for me

.. One cargo I had torpedoed was taking gun fire from an escort (I was using it as a shield) and when I finally dispatched the escort & sunk the C2 with my deck gun, I did not get the credit when it went under..

Damn I should have kept him in the bilge.
