I have no idea about this bit. I think though that all the messages you get are actual U-Boat messages from the period.

Yes, although as the years pass they are less frequent as the U-Boats were being hunted by the allies and were forced to keep radio silence

Remember, Santa reads your posts.
I don't think Codmander got any problem here. In his opinion, which is perfectly ok, GWX got a lot of eye candy but a relatively easy gameplay maybe compared to NYGM. And to some extend I agree with him.

Please don't post answers like that. Lets allow all opinions about mods here, that's what's makes them even better.

Welcome aboard mate

I'm glad you like GWX, your post is why they carry on doing this excellent work.

To answer a few of you questions.....

Quote:
Did you do anything to RAF?
:hmm: Let me think.......YES Wait until later in the war.

Quote:
Do the transmissions cover the entire war?
Yes, but they reduce in occurance later in the war.

Not too sure about this history stuff, but someone will jump in.

Again Welcome and enjoy your stay.

It is quite odd that some people would actually call GWX easy. :hmm: From what I've read, many people think it's too hard and they haven't even got past 1939 yet. Actually so hard, that the team is creating an easier version or optional mod in the near future.

Let's all try to be honest, shall we?

Well that depends on how smart a kaleun you are

If you keep ending up in the game's traps GWX is hard enough. If you manage to avoid them NYGM will be a bigger challenge.

I'll tell you how I fooled a GWX DD. Submerged on 30m want it to pass right over me. As it is about to spit I order full astern and PD. As its droppings explodes in front of me I find myself in a position to put an eel into its rear using mag pistol. Good bye to that DD-crew

Don't think I'll get away with manouvers like that in NYGM.

ORP Orzel was sunk in late May 1940. Maybe that was the one they were talking about?

I installed GWX last night.

I must congratulate the GWX Mod Gang!

I downloaded GWX from Gameshadow. It took 100 minutes. In opening the game, after 15 minutes of loading a career, it gave me an error message and tha SH III was shutting down. Tried it twice, samo samo.

I ran a repair job on the remove programs thingie and started a new career. It took a while, but it loaded!

It was past my bedtime but I had to take a peek at the harbour. Woooo Hoooo!

The dockside band had improved. At 0700 hrs, the puffy strato cumulous clouds absolutely gorgeos. To hell with bedtime!

Ships tied up in the harbour and traffic outside the breakwater made the area look alive.

With traffic it made piloting the sumbie through traffic out of the harbour just like the real thing. Of course, took advantage of the gramophone to jolly the crew along.

The sea had almost that sparkle one sees on the water for real.

I stayed up 'til bloody late just enjoying the ride and checking out all the new goodies.

I think I screwed up by not having my other sub in port before dowloading GWX.

Now, I can't wait to see how the rest of the game goes.

Glad you liked it mate

keep playing and you will see why I believe GWX is by far the best mod out there (but of course that's just my opinion-try it for yourself)

Default Started my Career

I just took my fifteen minutes (that's all I'm allowed per day) to leave Kiel at 0016 Sept 30 1939. Man that's a long way through that channel. I took some night pictures of the first brige I came across at 0037. It took me a long time to plot my route through the channel. It's a little early to tell you what I think of GWX yet. But so far I like it. Can't wait for daylight.

Question: Do I have to be out of the chanal to generate an intelligence report using SH3Gen?

If you like Kiel Rob wait till you're out in the open seas. You're going to love GWX

I can hardly wait. I'm actually in a hurry to get through the canal, but I'll take it easy through there as I'm not sure whether my plotting through there is good enough so I don't hit the shoreline. I noticed another pen along the way. On my way to AN21, Next to Lerwick.

Oops, got the wrong post above. Question: Do I have to wait until I'm out of the chanal before I can use SH3Gen to generate a report?
