Use a program like "Enditall" to get rid of other programs running. It stopped 99% of my CTDs.

One thing that was causing a lot of CTD's for me was the Windows DEP (Data Execution Prevention) that is in the "My Computer" properties under the advanced tab, then the settings button in the visuals box. Over at M$ there's instructions how to completely disable this. Fairly simple if you follow the directions too. Only took about 5 minutes to do. As it was affecting other games too.

Sorry to hear that... A complete disaster

What you can learn is to SAVE often, esp. when you try to do perform an attack. Not for getting back once you are killed, but most computer crash occurs at these moments, when the system has to calculate the enemy action and your action busily

you know the second that the screen freezer, that second lasts forever...you just see ur career ends in front of ur eyes...and you see XP desktop laughing in your Face....

I heard my mate yell from anger on his computer via Teamspeak he was playing SH3...everything was fine...he was killing a lot as I hear...and at the sudden the PC reboot automaticly....he was gone and when he came back 1 minute he cursed and used very foul language against his computer. while it was his dumb idea to activate that when a XP update has been installed that the computer reboots automaticly...:rotfl:

"..There is a clever helicopter pilot whose job is to ferry VIP's from the Seattle airport to downtown. One day he found himself with a passenger in a pea soup fog somewhere over downtown Seattle. No landmarks were visible and the passenger became panicky.
The pilot said "Don't worry" and very gradually let the helicopter down until it was hovering opposite the window of a large, unidentifiable building. The pilot motioned to a woman working in the building to open her window and asked her "Where are we?" The woman responded "You are in a helicopter."
The pilot immediately lifted the helicopter above the building tops, flew a mile and a half, let it down through the fog, and hit the landing pad dead centre. The amazed and relieved passenger said "How on earth did you do that?" The pilot said: "It was simple. The information the woman gave me was perfectly accurate and utterly useless. I knew that she had to be working at the Microsoft Customer Support Centre..." :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Q: How many Microsoft support staff does it take to change a light bulb?
A: Four. One to ask "What is the registration number of the light bulb?", one to ask "Have you tried rebooting it?", another to ask "Have you tried reinstalling it?" and the last one to say "It must be your hardware because the light bulb in our office works fine..."

Well the West is basically the West half of the Black Sea, but you don't get any renown for doing that so basically just go where you want.
