I didn't know that DDs could run out of depthcharges....good lesson for everyone here don't you think?

Yes they do run out
They carry around 200 or so
Trouble is they dont bugger off when they run out
They still keep you pinned down

Just because a destroyer runs out of depth charges doesn't mean it has to leave. It was a very common tactic in WW2 to keep a uboat pinned under water even after running out of depth charges.

What lesson and why for everyone here? It is well know that DDs can run out of charges and it is easy to calculate how many charges each of DDs carries. F.e. in stock version, it is 40 charges per rack/K-gun. Some people count charges during DC-ing to know when it is relatively safe to engage the DD (provided the player survives).
