I guess you probably have done this already, but you need to do a search on your entire computer for any SH3* files and delete any you find and try again.
Do you have a Repair/registry cleaning program you can run also? Also this little program is free to use, it's called "CCleaner". Defrag and then try again. Last edited by fredbass; 12-11-06 at 09:47 PM. |

I have searched the computer for sh3 files,...BTW i have some backup files from SHcommander and some sh3 files from the sh3 root folder, but nothing i think would affect the re-install. I have run CCleaner, installed windows installer 3.1, seached my registry over and over., used the windows installer removal utility. The sh3 install does not give me an error code, just the installshield wizard pops up again and says process interupted try to reinstall the program later. ....also the install shows that it is copying the files to my HD but hangs at Publishing Product Infromation. I dont think I have anything running in the background.....wonder if I could try to install in safe mode maybe.

Take any files you want to save and place them in a new folder.
Delete the Ubisoft folder if it still exists. Defrag your HD and then try to re-install. Sometimes an installation hates a fragmented HD cause the FAT table may be just a bit screwed to it's point of view. |
