Default Boat Damaged After Saved Game

When I re-load a saved game, the new session starts with the boat shuddering and all the glasses on the dials shattering. Sometimes damage is reported. I saw a reference to this in a post/thread some time ago but can't re-find it. It really pi**es me off. Is this a bug? Is it the Devs way of punishing players who save mid-patrol? Is there any way to prevent it? Can the damage inflicted be repaired (have tried but can't see how)?

I thought the post I saw referred to saving while submerged. I should try saving when on the surface to see what happens.

Appreciate comments/advice.

Noticed that happening when the boat had been damaged previously during the patrol at the start of all following saves. No damage though, just making the shattered dials reappear.

Strange.
One would think he would notice if he were dead.

I believe the game is re-establishing the state of the boat before the save...if the boat was damaged before the save. I have run into this problem but I do not have hull damage add or anything. If your boat was not damaged at time of save and this happens on the next start up, then it is a bug. Your boat should not have renown costing damage none the less. Understand that saving while submerged can affect the save and also in the presence of warships. I have not experienced this myself but others have. They usually save surfaced and away from warships.

I never save a game in mission I always complete a patrol and then exit in the normal way,my hull integrity was around 80% my flak gunner all four were wounded, even when I docked the boat the mission summery said 52 healthy 4 wounded clicked next "DEAD"reloaded did the same patrol without any injuries docked the boat "dead" 4 times this happened at the end I gave up and scrubbed out all my careers out.I have'nt a clue if somehow my saved files got corrupt,or what.
