Better to put the Medic and the wounded man in the same compartment.

Talk about topic hijacking

:rotfl:

So in all the medic is about as much use as "tits on a on a fish" as we say in the real submarine world

Not always. I've had a couple of situations where I've been able to save two or three guys with the medic. It just happens rarely. Mostly if the get hit they die instantly rather than just get injured.

I'm with the others. I've had medics given to me by SH3 commander, and I don't notice them doing anything. It's usually "MEN DOWN ON DECK, SIR!" or nothing. For the sparse amount of injured crewmen you're liable to run into, I'd say they're a waste of time.

From what I've read, BdU agreed with that assessment as well.

No, medics are not useless. They are useless most of the time, but say you have an 18 patrol flak gunner with tons of medals that get injured (happened to me yesterday), and he survives because of the medic. Not a waste IMO.

Using the medic also accelerates fatigue recovery for the sailors in the same crew quarters.

I have not seen evidence of a viable effect in other compartments.

Thats a bit more useful then (seeing as I avoid shooting at anything that can shoot back and rarely have "wounds")

That seems like a much more useful effect. On a long IX cruise that would be valuable.

I think that there is an encyclopedia of little tid bits the Kpt. Lehmann has bubbling in his brain.
