Notice how the ice has broken the cable stays and bent over the railings on each side?

That sub has so much ice on it, that it is leaning over.

It looks like the crewmen are using an airpowered drill to break off the ice. All though its a good idea to remove all that deck ice, the harbor is so frozen over that the sub is not going to go anywhere anyway.

Dowly was right about the 3d stuff - with out it the boat looks like it was painted, maybe i should try to do a mask to the uboat tga skins files . The main problem is a ice look, without a proper fotoshop skills and 3d modeling is not going to work as i planed , anyway in the mean wile i can post the screen from fotoshop,

Sorry for the waiting, i will post a screenshots from the game as soon as i can

Hey Dimitrius you are doing well there mate very hard thing to do. When i get a bit of free time i might be able to help you out. I think it is time i tryed my hand at modding and tryed to give something back to this commuinty. Though i have not got a clue as to where to start. Good luck in the mean time, keep on keeping on mate

I might have a play with this aswell. If you don't mind Dimitrius07.

I know for sure that the hull & conning towers can be achieved with a workaround approach.

However, it will not be possible to have ice hanging from things like the deck gun or cables. Although, it might be possible to mod the objects governing these items.:hmm:

I think the only way to do this is to change the model itself, as was said.

Having said that, it'd be very, very awesome if such a moel could be implemented. Save from, of course, the fact that it'd always look snowed-down, even while in port and submerged. Oh well.

Ice is tough stuff. In fact, as probably most or all residents of cold areas know, it's used for demolition purposes, namely when chunks of rocks need to be blasted apart. You drill a hole, fill it with water, the water freezes and expands, and the rock is cracked from the pressure. Who needs dynamite?

As a side note, snow and icicles accumulating on your boat come winter-time is one of the many, many features I've suggested to Ubisoft for Silent Hunter 4. Let's see what they make of it.

2 danlisa and mr chris

Of course , i will be defenatly need your help mates.

Well i will have to find some one who have a 3d moddeling experience, maybe my friend will be able to help, i will talk to him as soon as i see him.

The most important thing is made it no only as a eye candy mod, for example:

While you travel in very cold areas you boat can take damage from the ice, your crew aspeccialy watch crew will get tired more quickly and even get sick , the torpido hatch-way can stuck and you will be forced to return to base .

Well a have many ideas in my head right now but im not sure how i will put them all in the game .

You have come up loads of good ideas there mate. It would be neat if we could work as many of them into the game as is possible.

Kind of a different take on the Icing up. albeit alittle too blue. Sort of a WIP, as I have no experiance W/ SH3 skinning.
