2 things to solve the Teleport to base problem:

1. Higher the Renown (for 500 Renown I will return) when you get in the 30 km range and DOCK AT
2. Give a loss renown penalty when you return to base. for example 1/3 of the total renown earned in that patrol.

I like that idea, imagine the humiliation of having to radio in a position and get a tow back or some fuel delivered. That would stuff your chances up a bit of getting the next boat upgrade I'm sure.

some good ideas there i like the idea of simulating food consumption
but on point 1.....
- on 100% in stock sh3 you cant teleport back to base you only have the option to abandon career.

What I do when I ran out of fuel?

Hit the ESC key, back to base, delete the career, start a new one.

Don't know why you guys are worried about this food consumptions. Whatever the lenght of my patrol, I still have bananas, hams and sausages hanging all over the place in the command room when I dock back in base...

As you must know hard coded things like that can't be addressed by any mod team.

SHIII Commander allows you to do this.

Its in the 'SH3 Options' button under the 'time compression' tab.

I have mine set up to dump down to 1X TC when ANY ship, plane, and such appear. I also have it where I cant use TC when I am being hunted.

That's the problem (IMHO) that TC drops to 1 when ANY ship appears, because getting out of harbour takes forever! I wish there was an option that TC only drops to 1 when an unknown, neutral or enemy ship appears.

Not to mention the crates of Becks under my bunk. Thogh in my case they tend to be empty by the ned of a long patrol.:rotfl:
