Dont worry, cheapskate, its not NYGM. But it IS harder than GW. Anyway, Lehmann mentioned something about an option for less nerve rattling action.

Anyway, I absolutely love GWX, and I am a eye candy kaleun myself.

I LOVE IT! WOHOOO! Its really as if SH3 was reborn.

I'll disagree with you completely. SH3 was never completed ergo it cannot be "reborn" since it was never born to begin with.

SH3 has been sitting half out of Ubi's birth canal for almost 2 years and the GWX team finally finished the delivery.

We got ourselves a new baby boy.

The GWX team has not forgotten the masses, this is still a mod for everyone. You'll just have to 'develop' the way you play a little.

It really is worth the effort of renewing your patrol tactics. Wait and see.

Not at all. GWX is a bit more complex than GW but it is not a hardcore sim. You don't have to be a U-Boat captain to play it. It is true that you have to change the tactics a bit, but the game, looks, feels and even plays much better. Trust me it's just BRILLIANT. Don't forget you can always adjust the realism settings as well, but I'm sure it will be everyone's favourite

This sounds fantastic Kpt. Thanks.
Just one thing: I opt for renaming the beta testers into beta teasers. It's really driving me nuts having to wait around while everyone tells me how great GWX is

Spot on mate! Original release now seems like a beta test version....and an early one at that!

@ Stabiz, Melnibonian, Danlisa et al.

Thanks for your reassurances guys. As members of the priviliged majority, you are in a position to know whats in there, and you wouldn't exaggerate ( or tell outright porkies) now would you

BTW Hope any NYGM aficionados aren't upset by implication that it is only a ' realism' mod. It looks good too and plays nicely ... plus it's the only major mod that I could get running first time. Just a got a bit discouraged by being massacred by Swordfishes on the Flak Artillery training mission!

Default To the Kpt.

I guess this is a bit early to ask, but have you guys played with the idea of making expansions to SHIV? I know its difficult to tell now, since we dont know anything about SHIV, but my point is: Is GWX the last expansion you guys will ever make.....?

I was thinking the same the other day. Considering how good this game finally is, what could SHIV be with some gentle nudging from the GW Devs?

I have SH3 but my rig can't play it.

I just ordered a new computer with all the bells(wait till the wife see this) for 2 reasons.
1. To finally play SH3
2. To finally play SH3 with GWX

I pray this is as good as it seems or its half a pension and a house :rotfl:
