What i do is tell them their product is very interesting but i have a call on the other line and could they hold on. Then i press the mute button and go back to whatever i was doing. Periodically i'll unmute the button and check to see if they're still holding, telling them i'm almost through and would they continue to hold as their call is very important to me.

After about 5 minutes of this i connect back and tell them to go ahead and at the same time i have my girlfriend go ring the doorbell. Then i tell them there's someone at the door and could they please hang on a bit longer

The objective of the game is to see how long I can keep them on the line. My personal best is 25 minutes.

Almost a half hour they aren't bothering someone else. It's one of the things i do for my fellow man.
