Default TGW sound

Sorry if this has been asked. I couldn't find any reference to it. I am using TGW1.1a

While I am running on the surface in calm waters, every once in a while I hear what sounds like a "wire scrapping against the hull of my sub" with the sound going from the left speaker to right speaker.

Can anyone tell me what that sound is, please?

This is the sound of subnets. Are you close you your harbor or an eneby harbor?

I am in Grid AN41 heading north. 2302 October 15, 1939 Actual time 8 AM Nov 8, 2006

Edit: Time 0816 October 15, 1936, Actual time now 11 AM same date.
The subnets are all over the place: AN45, AN41, AN42, AN27
The nets were NOT there last month, September, 1939

How do I get out of this mess?

I'm heading for the passage just north of the little Island and the larger Island, north of Scapa Flow.

I came around Scape Flow in Sept, no problems.

When daylight arrived and I was able to get a clear view of my sub the first time I heard the scrapping, I stopped the game pressing "break" and used the external camera to have a look under the hull of my sub. NO NET.

I continued doing this all during the daylight hours, still the same thing NO NET, yet I keep getting the scraping sound.

Now, Is this a regular random event in TGW to occur every few moments, if it is, then it's NOT funny.

Try updating or reverting your sound card driver. What you are describing is definitely not a part of normal GW gameplay.

Oh yes there is. Look under Data\Sound\amb_SubmarineInterior.

You will hear the scrapping there.
