Nope...strictly "topside" here mate! Served in the British Merchant Navy for 5 years in the 70s. Luckily, I never had to face meeting up with a Uboat with tube doors open!!
Total respect for any guy who does his sailing with water above him, rather than under!!!

Merchant Navy too in the 70s + just over a year in SH3 if that counts ?

I got an engineering internship with the US Navy working on subs. I'm still in college, but I can see it becoming my chosen job.

Not personally/directly, but my dad did command a YP (Yard Patrol) craft for the USN for a bit during World War II, patrolling for subs off the US coast, before heading for Okinawa in '45. If I see any patrol craft off the coast during my drumbeat patrols I always turn tail and slink away, just in case (wouldn't want to inadvertently mess up the timeline )
