IIRC you will get 'penalized' for spending renown. 3000 - 2000 for your VIIB = 1000 renown.

This is one really annoying part of the renown system.

Ah, thank you. I thought you'd be promoted when ENTERING port with more than 1500 points "in the bank", not at next time's entry.

When I'm back home from my sixth patrol I will get promoted or I will place my butt behind a desk again! I need to speak to Dönitz about this. What's his number again? Bernard, put me through to the Admiral please. No, not Niemitz!
