I stated this earlier...I say the heck with both parties! We need a party that is true to form, and looks at the issues and not the blame game. Just think what would happen if the "moderates" of both parties broke off and created a true independant party, leaving their former parties behind completely?

Granted, I believe that with the Iraq situation and good ole Fooleygate, the Democrats will win.

I voted "don't know." Still waiting for prophetic powers to return to my people.

I'd like to see a complete stalemate in the Senate, and a technical majority in the house. Say, 50/50, and 218/217. I'd like to see long-term incumbents swapped out to make that stalemate. Teddy Kennedy for a Republican, Orin Hatch for a Democrat.

I'd also like to see a lot of Libertarians in there. Basically, the political spectrum isn't one dimensional anymore. There's a second dimension (making the "political spectrum" into a triangle, rather than a line), and it's the Libertarian dimension. I'm somewhere in between a Lib and a Rep.

I'd rather have a complete stalemate at this point. I'm disgusted with both the Democrats and Republicans.

I'm with you on the Libertarian dimension.

Thirded.

The Democrats are a lost cause and need to re-discover their purpose in life, the Republicans need to de-Liberalize themselves and beg to be forgiven and accepted back into the conservative lap and we need the Libertarians to put and keep both of them, plus the government and the state, in check.

Default independent

I agree I'm ready to be part of a true independent party. I don't know what people are thinking when they vote democrat or republican, both of the parties voted for the situation we are now in. It's okay to vote independent even if you don't think they will win, it's time to let dems. and reps. know that the people of this country would like to take our country back.
