3 x 14hrs downloads and 2 x 'The files seems to be corrupt, please download them again' messages later, I finally got it installed. I´m a veteran of the BF series, so I found it nice that the actual gameplay havents changed too much. Tho, the game seems to be more 'noob' friendly now. I get tons of points in the end of the round. Been playing for only a few hours total and I already have ~700points. In BF2 it would took me ~35 20pts rounds to get that score. In BF2142, only about 20 rounds was enough.

The patch that was released was for the Titan gamemode, not for mechs. In Titan mode there were some stability issues, that the patch fixed.

The game sure feels more arcade compared to BF2, I dont know why. Might be the weapons, that feel so 'arcade'. Yesterday, I started a server to seek out some weak spots on those damned walkers and just a hint: Shoot them to the balls, that hurts! :rotfl:

Hopefully EA gets the master servers working soon, I´m still short of few gold & silver medals. Alot of pins and some points.

Anyways, I will be keeping my copy of BF2 installed, the 2142´s atmosphere is so much different.

It´s good that the teamwork points are in, now people actually play in teams. Yesterday, one 6 men squad hold out the whole PAC team for quite some time. Meanwhile, other squads made HALO drops behind their forces and took the flags. That was great!
