 As for passing the time, if you're by yourself bring a laptop and a FPS game (or something like that). If you have someone else there, buy a boardgame or bring one and play it.

I am alone, my only companion is the internet and the Subsim forums.
Got scared as hell a moment ago when I was out patroling. I could not find my carkeys, I thought that I had lost them, but I found them in the dashboard, lucke me that they where there. If I had left them somewhere else in the car, it would have autolocked itself after 15 minutes.

15 years ago we didn’t have YouTube and the world was a different place. What can you guys recommend these days to watch during a lonely night shift in the harbor? 😉
