You actually should be setting a *higher* value. The stock SH3's setting is 18. Try that and see how it goes,

Here's 2 screenshots of water density set at 19 by SH3 Commander. 1st shot was taken at 04:53 July 17,'43 ingame at 120 meters.
![]() Second was taken same day at 05:30 at appx 20 meters. Coming up after being hunted by 2 Corvettes to sink a crippled Liberty Cargo ship. ![]() These will give an idea of what JS is saying.

It's curious that there are not almost difference between 0 and 20 stting in clear water...at least for me it always looks as the last image...I have reinstalled SH3 following, GW, SH3commander...strange
And the same about the waves height, I can't see any difference. Could someone post (or link) some screens to see what difference do you get? |

DBS, wave height will depend on the weather. Doesn't your SHIII weather change? Or maybe I don't understand what you mean.

If you want to manually edit the Scene.dat file, to improve the underwater visibility, here you have a little guide :

On the other side, I have seen now the difference between 0 and 20 stting in clear water. But still at 20 it is quite darker than the stock water. I wonder if it can rolled back using the guide linked above. |
