If you don't grasp the theory behind the tageting solution process, having the computer do it for you will never lead you anywhere. You'll just watch and scratch your head and remain as confused as ever.

There's no easy fix, you need to study up on some basic theoretical concepts to really understand the why of things.

Of course, this shouldn't be an issue because the game's manual should cover all this, but ... well, we all know the score on that one.

Start by reading the wiki manual, Wazoo' tutorial or even try some of my links. It's not that hard once you know how things work.
