Imagine going through shallow waters outside Scapa.....and a bunch of mines are literally following you through the water in 10 miles per hour!!

I'd sure call for help

Ctrl-F11 by default. They save as BMP files in your main SilentHunterIII folder.

Decided to fight back a Sunderland and my fightback evasive maneuvere brought the boat right on his line and as he dropped 4 bombs...they all scored from aft to bow. Still managed to move the only alive men from below decks to the conningtower (the one guy still inside the boat is axemurdering the enigma machine and after that he was able to step out to the flak position.) The dead crewmembers at deckgun are the remains from the flak crew and one of the watch crewmembers that i threw overboard to get my men from belowdecks. Boat sat on surface for 1minute before plunging into the bottom of the Bay of Biscay. The Sunderland was on its way to finish U-607 when the black screen of death appeared, but the 5 crewmembers jumped into a dinghy and were rescued later by Allied DD...

This incident happened during the Aircraft efficiency/spotting and AC all MG gunpods working testing of NYGM 2.2. Bevare if you decide to engage any ACs...those flyboys are something to be afraid of...

Prost

@ Firewall

Ctrl+F11 to take screens. These are then stored in your Silent Hunter III in the program files directory, as a bmp.

Great thread! I love taking damage!

In one of my old boats i hit a mine off of Hull (if i remember right). I was under TC, so when I snapped out I was sinking fast. I got everything under control, blew ballast and surfaced to find fire belching out of the conning tower. It was my first mine experience (that didn't end instantly with the 'your uboat was destroyed').

I just thought of something.....has anyone ever been in a apartment when a fatal explosion/damage/etc, kills a crewman? and how does it looks INSIDE the sub when you get hit by a mine?

I've been in a house when that happened, never an apartment though :rotfl:

Seriously, damage isn't modelled inside graphically.
