In heavy fog I always travel submerged. Too often I rammed other ships which I (or rather Bernard) spotted to late or had very close calls.
Bad side is it takes a long time to make some way, good side is that you can detect ships with the hydrophones earlier than by spotting them on the surface => more contacts. ![]() |

:hmm: The perfect convoy attack is in bad weather with 5ms wind and medium fog...and ofcourse let it rain.

I guess that probably the worst storm is, when you "submerged" while surfaced!
I had my watch crew covered by waves, but nothing bigger then my conning tower, but I guess that things could get even worse. And my gus were onyl reached because of the wavy see and not the total hight of the waves. ![]() |

Have you read this thread by CB..
