Officer AWOL

I'm in August 1943, my 5th officer disappeared . When in port & couldn't hire another officer cause they said there would be too many officers. Went to SH3 Commander 2.6 & it would not let me remove the officer to transfer him so I could replace the officer. His name was there not the body. Can you tell me what to do?

If im not wronk, I think is an old bug, when you retourn to base with one officer at damage stations, he desapears, but when you sail again, he is on duty.

It happened twice to me, the one stayed gone & the second one I replaced him & when I went out he disappeared too.

I lost a officer on my current carrer and have not been able to replace him for 6 missions now have given up hope of ever getting a full complement of offciers ever again.
