Moin,

@Anvart
don´t know whether you´re going to reply to posts over in the German ubi forum or if you just posted to make us aware of you work. So I´m replying to this one in addition. Nice work, and nice to see my little one in the back. Could you give a short description on how to light up a ship? I´d like to do it myself and switch on my fishing boat´s position lights.

Regards,
DD

Anvart, what an awesome idea, it sounds like you have done other lit ships as well, can you tell us where to download them?

Thanks, looks great!!!

You didn't know about Anvart's lit ships!?

So far, he has done the Coastal Merchant, C2, Small Coastal Vessel, Tugboat, T3, Passenger Liner, Hospital Ship, and now the Transport. He should be able to get you the links for all of those.

them.

I have them all available for D\L Anvart

What mods are you running Notewire ?
How pleasant of you to ask, Herr Kapitan.

For WAW - I run:
NYGM
Moonlight Mod (the square moon one)
Dirty Crew Mod
3rd Flotilla Mod
Graf Zeppelin Add-in
I removed my own icon from the F5 maps, so I have to use sextant in maps.cfg
I made all contacts "-" ala RUB
And then I changed my Englishnames.cfg to match my style of play (low TC, no Hud, F3, F5, or F6 commands, etc.
I use SH3 Weather and SH3 Gen to make orders once I leave port.
I added the FishingBoat3 Cutters.

When not WAW, I run GW 1.1a with -
Uboat War 1.7 for GW
Longer Damage Times Mod
Moonlight Mod
Dirty Crew Mod
Graf Zeppelin Mod
I removed my own icon from the F5 maps, so I have to use sextant in maps.cfg
I made all contacts "-" ala RUB
And then I changed my Englishnames.cfg to match my style of play (low TC, no Hud, F3, F5, or F6 commands, etc.
I use SH3 Weather and SH3 Gen to make orders once I leave port.
I added the FishingBoat3 Cutters.

So, that's what I use, and I am always looking for new ideas. Does this mod make all ships lighted? Or is it random, some lighted, some not?

Thanks for all the help MODDERS!!!

Highest Regards,
Yarre.

@ Notewire
Wow a few then lol
The link with the Scr and Rnd in is for GW1.1A
It will give you lit ships for all the neutral countries plus US before they joined the war - same with Netherlands\Norway\Greece\Denmark and Belgium IIRC

The first link is just the ships all together - except the latest

Thanks Anvart, so I will go back to my cave for a while and start studying the *.dat. Hopefully I´ll be back by the end of 2006.

I've just started out on my first patrol using BBW's collection of Anvart's lighted ships scripted into in the campaign files, so I'm really looking forward to seeing how these look - unfortunately, I'm in November 1943 now so I'm not sure if there are likely to be many neutrals left out there for me to see at this point.

One question though - why a lighted transport? What are these things transporting? If they are troop transports, would there ever be a situation IRL where troop transports would be lighted? It looks very cool, but I'm a bit puzzled about the reality of lighting up this particular type of ship. Were they used to transport something other than troops?

There are still the neutral countries out the lit up - Spain\Sweden and Portugal etc
