Yep it does, thanks for explaining it in more detail, it sounds quite a bit more reasonable now.
I'm currently using GW but i'm seriously considering getting a second install with NYGM, sounds like it would be quite a challenge.

I think you would enjoy it as the NYGM TW Mod as it is aimed at replicating, and I feel that we have for the most part acheived, the difficulties that the U-boat's faced.

Replicating? Heck yeah. My first NYGM 2.0 patrol had me come runnning for help on these boards, because I couldn't get away from a very angry flower corvette. A FLOWER CORVETTE! I had to be given a few pointers about the new sensor AI, as well as reread the spotting thing. Getting CLOSE to attack range is a challenge now if you think you can do it old style.

yes, new playing way required. I feel danger when playing and makes very exiting.

did you follow attack on surface advice, works very well and feel right.

On a NYGM 2.2 patrol right now, and well.. I've been attacked 8 times in 4 days by aircraft. It's clear that they cheat. Or I'm the victim of Tommy Radar, it's June 1941, did they have the evil radar that early?

Well..... what do you expect when you are near Scap Flow, one of the most important naval bases :rotfl:

Also travelling on the surface during the day so close to the British Coast is just inviting trouble

During June 1941 there's apparently nothing but daylight! Sunset at 22:30, sunrise at 4:30 but it's still early morning levels of light all night long.
