I have tried every fubar-skin I could get my hands on, and I have had no speed problems. (Vanilla nor GW)

Edit: This thread made me think about the amazing Rolling Stones song "Paint it black"!

Really don;t know what to say...it has happened lots of times to me though. I installed this dark skin however, and it works like a charm. No problems anymore.

ok that worked great although...I would like to modify it a bit...say ad a number to the tower...change the white water line to red....is there anyone that knows which file..tga I presumming to edit in order to get the desired effects?
I did notice that a couple of the downloaded paint files were the data files...is that the key? Or is it as simple as redoing a .tga file.

I can't quite remember how that skin is packed but I believe the TGA files you will need are inside the .dat files on that particular skin.

You will need to unpack them and go from there.
This is the program you will need to use to unpack the .DAT files and then repack them.

ftp://ftp.ubi.com/us/games/chessmast...TexExtract.zip

Other than that you can get further help from those that are more familiar with painting the skins.
