What about "Torpedo Run" starring Glenn Ford. Not in Das Boot's class by any means, but not a bad film and it's in colour.

"Run Silent Run Deep" never saw that, but my choise is "Torpedo Run". Also saw one made in 1943 or 44, with Cary Grant, but can't remember the title.

It's a rare thing that a Movie matches the Book that its based upon!
But i agree! We sooo need a good modern movie about US Sub in WWII. But thats so not in Vouge these days!!

IMO 'Run Silent Run Deep' and 'Torpedo Run' were the two best of there kind...twas strange seeing Glenn Ford using his own legs for propulsion instead of the trademark horse!
