I am on my first mission in 1939 in a Type IIA. I reached my patrol zone, and suddenly my CE is responding to my power commands with "Cannot comply".
![]() My boat is dead in the water, cant go anywhere. I can dive and surface, but thats it. The weather is overcast and my watch crew is in foul weather gear, but I should still be able to move around shouldnt I??? I have moved my engine crew between compartments, etc. Nothing seems to work. I even set my time compression high and reeled off a day or so, and still nothing. My realism is set to 0%. |

Sounds like your crew are tired High T\C wont refresh them - needs to be under 256 IIRC Put them all in the rest bays for a bit and let them recharge Crew fatigue can be a nightmare I use SH3commander and set my fatigue to none That way I dont have to babysit the crew Hope that helps |

So if your crew is too tired to move the ship, get them into the bunks and set TC to 32. And don't forget the officers - they also need rest. In fact, I'l bet that your CE is way to tired to even order: "All ahead slow"! In the future, you need to swap crew and officers around BEFORE they get to tired - or- do a search for "fatigue" and "vitamins". That will show you how to mod the game, so your crew won't get tired, or at least, not so fast! HTH Sven |

I have already modified the basic.cfg and set each crewmember type to a maximum fatigue of 20 (from .5 or .6 original value). None of the crew have a exclamation point over them. I will try resting them, but none of them are showing signs of fatigue.

Well, turns out my problem was fatigue.
How can I turn fatigue off completely? |

Looking at your screen, I can see 1 strange thing: With a full engine room, including both machinists and a qualified officer, your 'bar' should read full green! Since it doesn't do that, I can only think that the problem is: No drudges! I think you need some enlisted men there - I guess the petty officers won't do the gread n' oil stuff ![]() HTH Sven |
