I want to know how change the images of the crew management screen as well as what controls the damage models (the colours and the compartment damage in the management screen) to do something cool like this

If thats for the pictures then what controls this: This is from Warship Mod 2.0 and it shows everything as destroyed and the flooding and damage colour features on the ship don't appear ![]() Then theres these that appear when you load up one of the Schnellboots from S-Boot mod into a normal installation. It shows the electric engines compartment which is hidden in S-Boot. Whenever i move a ship between different supermods of Silent Hunter it always has the same properties so I don't know if its located in the .zon file in the submarine folder or the basic.cfg or something else that shows and hides the flooding/colour and compartments ![]() ![]() |

These files are also important :
- data/Submarine/whatever_playable_unit.zon - data/Zones.cfg - data/Cfg/Basic.cfg There isn't much more I can do for you. You have to study and understand how all this is working... |

Does zones.cfg update the .zon files for submarines? |

"The Zones.cfg file contains all the zone types with their parameters", so it includes the submarines' zones. To visualize the damage boxes of any unit, open both the unit.dat and unit.zon with S3D, display the 3D representation and click on the small icon which will show you the boxes and collision spheres.

Is there any way to drag the boxes to expand them or do you have to type coordinates to make them bigger/smaller. Is there a way to click on the boxes to show the boxes in the .zon or do you have to just go throughout until you find what you want? Is there a way to make it show what boxes go to what part in the zones.cfg or what part does what? ![]() Last edited by Bladekill1298; 06-06-25 at 06:54 PM. |

No you have to type coordinates to make them bigger/smaller.

To know what zones of a playable unit are shown on the damage control screen (so they will appear as normal/damaged/destroyed/flooded), you have to take a look in Basic.cfg. Given a playable unit, their zones are generally written in both Basic.cfg and playable-unit.zon. All zones which are attached to a playable unit in Basic.cfg but are not defined in playable-unit.zon will be shown as "destroyed" as soon as you start to play... For the basic.cfg is this what I should be looking at Year2=1945 ForeTube20=3 ;T1 ForeTube21=3 ForeTube22=4 ForeTube23=4 ForeResIntern20=3 ForeResIntern21=6 ForeResIntern22=6 ForeResIntern23=4 ForeResExtern20=3 ForeResExtern21=3 ForeResExtern22=3 ForeResExtra20=3 ForeResExtra21=3 AftTubes20=6 AftResIntern20=3 AftResExtern20=3 Z01_20=8 S01_20=4 S02_20=5 S03_20=5 SuperCharger_20=1260 Snorkel_20=1262 Batteries_20=1266 AftBatteries_20=1266 Hydrophone_20=1272 Sonar_20=-1 Radar_20=1278 RadarWarningReceiver_20=1282 Decoy_Launcher_20=1287 SonarCoatings_20=1303 RadarCoatings_20=1305 Renown0=3500 or this NbComp=9 Comp0=0; Tower Watch Nb0=6 Subs00=AttackPeriscope AttackPeriscope=0; E_AttackPeriscope TimeRecovery00=1 Subs01=ObservationPeriscope ObservationPeriscope=1; E_ObservationPeriscope TimeRecovery01=1 Subs02=RadioAntenna RadioAntenna=2; E_RadioAntenna TimeRecovery02=1 Subs03=RadarAntenna RadarAntenna=3; E_RadarAntenna TimeRecovery03=1 Subs04=Snorkel Snorkel=25; E_Snorkel TimeRecovery04=3 Subs05=RadarWarningReceiver RadarWarningReceiver=40;E_RadarWarningReceiver TimeRecovery05=1 and then if these are what I'm supposed to be looking at its then just guess and check for what its linked to in .zon? |

Yes, that. They are the compartments with all the stuff inside of them, and what zones are used for each of them... For example, you have in Basic.cfg : Comp0=0; Tower Watch Nb0=5 Subs00=AttackPeriscope AttackPeriscope=0; E_AttackPeriscope Then, a bit further, you have : 26=0 27=1 4=2 3=3 49=4 ... 26=0 means that the device with the 0 index in the compartment is linked to the zone no. 26. If you look into Zones.cfg : 26=PeriscopeAttack |
