Title. I fired my loaded 14’s and they’ve been replaced with 18’s. I want the spare 14’s in the tubes.

first, you have to have an open slot in your reserve bunker. without that you cannot move any fish. secondly, assuming you have said open slot, turn off auto torpedo loading. you can usually find the icon on the Clipboard set of icons. its icon will be a torpedo. ![]() thirdly, make sure the torpedo tube outer door is closed. fourth, drag a torpedo out of the tube to the open spot in your reserve. lastly, drag the desired fish into the empty tube. nothing to it. ![]() good luck, Herr Kaleun!! ![]()

What he said. I can't count the number of times I tried to move a torp from the tube into an open reserve and got frustrated it wasn't working. Then I finally remember I have the outer door open..... DOOOOOH. Good thing the software recognizes that fact LOL. One of my torpedo men would be in deep dodo if he lived.
I wonder if that ever happened for real with a damaged tube/door? |

Did it. Thanks again! I was intercepting a convoy in heavy rain and fog, and didn't see a reason to spend my 18's in those conditions.
When did the IJN get radar? Or the ability to detect it? I'm in late '43 and am not sure which is happening, but something certainly is. Just running GFO. |

The game seems to constantly 'cheat' on the player... from what my pov is, I think they huff/duff and radar-detect from the beginning of the game... just my opinion. Ever notice when you are deep, beneath the layer and on silent running, that even if there is no chance an escort heard you to begin with, that somehow or other, they always manage to pass directly over your location, whether dropping or not?? They do that to entice you into going Ahead Full and making noise, I think...

Speaking of which, is there a way to disable radar automatically turning on when you surface? It'd be good to know which case I'm seeing. |

jumping in here.... no. been down that path myself. the best you can do if you think the escorts are pernicious, is to have the radar toolbar front-and-center as you surface, watch the power button light-up and then click the power button to turn it off.
