...as an ex-F.E.M.A. related R.E. appraiser in 'quake afflicted CA, buying an ocean-proximity island at this time in history is inadvisable; given the the global warming with constant rise in sea levels, beach erosion, horrific tsunamis, dead whales piling up, etc.

Double Island is waiting—let’s turn it into the next epic chapter in reality TV history.

Double Island: The Ultimate Survivor Challenge

A Reality TV Paradise Double Island isn’t just an island—it’s an expansive, untouched canvas waiting to be reimagined as a high-stakes arena where real people push themselves to the limits. With its versatile beachfront, native rainforest, and direct access to vibrant marine life, every inch of the island is teeming with potential for secret challenge sites and hidden tribal council locations that are as dramatic as they are beautiful.

Unmatched Production Value
  • Epic Backdrop: The islandÂ’s natural splendor provides an awe-inspiring setting that rivals the most epic wilderness locations on Earth. Think towering palms, hidden coves, and untouched bushland—all bathed in the turquoise glow of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park.
  • Strategic Location: Just five minutes from Palm Cove and a short 30-minute drive from Cairns International Airport, the island offers ideal accessibility for production logistics while maintaining its remote, secretive feel.
  • Flexible Zoning: With zoning set for tourism, hospitality, and short-term accommodation, we have the built-in infrastructure to support world-class production facilities. Imagine contestants not only competing in grueling challenges but also enjoying luxurious recovery zones that seamlessly blend rugged survival with modern comfort.
A Format That Captivates Audiences
Borrowing the winning formula of Survivor, our show would drop a diverse group of daring contestants onto Double Island, where theyÂ’ll face harrowing physical challenges, solve intricate puzzles set by nature itself, and navigate alliances and betrayals in epic tribal councils.
  • Adventure & Intrigue: Each challenge could creatively incorporate the islandÂ’s unique natural features—whether itÂ’s navigating a labyrinthine mangrove, foraging in a mysterious rainforest, or engaging in a twilight beach relay.
  • Cultural & Environmental Twist: The island's proximity to the Great Barrier Reef inspires thought-provoking environmental challenges that not only entertain but also highlight the importance of preserving our natural wonders.
  • Social Experiment: As in Survivor, the psychological game would be front and center. Contestants would battle not only the elements but also their own social dynamics, forging alliances and rivalries that keep viewers glued week after week.
The Competitive Edge
By acquiring Double Island, you’re not just purchasing a piece of land—you’re investing in a ready-made, on-location set that brings authenticity and rugged beauty to the screen. This island offers:
  • Exclusivity: With long-term leasehold tenure backed by the Queensland Government, Double Island is a secure, private setting unavailable to competitors.
  • Versatility: Its multifaceted landscape lends itself to a plethora of challenge variations—from endurance trials to creative problem-solving contests—ensuring that no two episodes are ever the same.
  • Brand Synergy: A Survivor-style show shot on Double Island is not only a ratings magnet but also an ideal platform for sponsorships, integrated advertising, and global distribution opportunities, given the worldwide recognition of both the Survivor format and the unparalleled allure of a tropical adventure.
Why Now?
In an era where audiences crave authentic, high-octane competition with a touch of luxury and breathtaking scenery, Double Island stands out as the perfect setting for the next big reality TV phenomenon. It’s the rare opportunity to blend raw survival with the comforts of modern production—capturing the imagination of viewers around the globe while delivering a brand-defining series that redefines adventure television.
Conclusion

Purchasing Double Island is not merely about owning a piece of Australia’s paradise; it’s about seizing the chance to create the ultimate adventure series—a Survivor-style showdown where every challenge, every alliance, and every vote is amplified by the island’s raw, natural splendor. With this island as our stage, we have the potential to redefine the reality TV landscape, setting new benchmarks for storytelling, production value, and viewer engagement.

Later we could work on some other projects

I think it would be very hard and annoying to keep tourists of your island haha
if your the buyer/owner.

Some tourists think everything is public owned. i bet you tourists will just go on land and take pictures. I i was the owner. I wouldn't make a big deal of it.
But i would make clear that is private property. And they need to behave (not leaving trash or destroying stuff)
