I understand you solved your issue, but for the curious others: Most mods, such as TMO and FotRSU use the SubName.cfg file's listing for the snorkel depth, such as the Balao in FotRSU of "SnorkelDepth=13.8;meters". You then change the menu.txt file and audio files to reflect that change. You also probably have to adjust that depth to reflect when the radar is above the surface. If you are on a German sub, things are more complicated, but they did have a snorkel mounted radar. I do not remember when that came into being though. I do not think they had an extensible radar, such as the US SD radar was, but maybe they did, and I have missed seeing that detail. We found (thus far) that the US SD radar in SH4 can either be a "snorkel" (rise and lower), or a "radar antenna" (on and off). I keep hoping beyond hope that CapnScurvy might have missed a trick in his book, but it is almost definitely either / or, not both. My solution of tying the APR-1 radar detector to the SD on/off is not ideal, and is sadly lacking...
