@ Jim and Osty - no brain fart. Osty's post posed two questions:- "installation" and "military" (the first by implication). So I chose, under the rules, to answer the first because that gave away less information. I am still on the ball up here and not in need of social services just yet

Well done, Jim - Progrev-T mine clearance - I hadn't seen that you already used this in the past, so well remembered

PS: I don't know whether you deleted something from post #9115, Osty? I can only think that at post #9116 I was saying no to something that got deleted. If I'm wrong then I apologise, mate

OK, if you say so. Now, let's check your knowledge of German. Is your German as good as my English? We'll see

Alas, The only German I know is from watching my favorite '60's TV show ; Combat starring Vic Morrow & Rick Jason. And, one nursery rhyme from my Silesian great grandmother that has passed down to all the Konig/Dahl descendants over the last century...I've been known to shout 'schnell' to slow moving minions under my command at times though.

Just out of curiosity I looked it up:
Quote:
These are results for which is correct grammar: "I'm the one that" or "I'm the one who" ?
Search instead for which is correct grammer: "I'm the one that" or "I'm the one who" ?

AI Overview

Both "I'm the one that" and "I'm the one who" are grammatically correct, but "I'm the one who" is generally preferred, especially when referring to people, as "who" is specifically used for people.
Here's a more detailed explanation:
"Who" vs. "That":
"Who" is a relative pronoun used to refer to people, while "that" can be used for people, animals, groups, or things.
"I'm the one who":
This sentence is a more formal and precise way to express that you are the person being referred to.
"I'm the one that":
While grammatically correct, it might sound slightly less formal and less precise than using "who" when referring to people.

I've been taught that the relative pronoun "that" can be used for people and things, but shouldn't be used if the person has already been named, as it can be impolite. "who" is for people and anmials that have a name (like pets), "which" is for things.
