FARO, Portugal (AFP) - A visitor to a yearly sardine festival in southern Portugal resort gobbled 50 of the grilled fish in 15 minutes, setting a new record, local officials said.
The visitor, who has not been named, beat the previous record set last year of 49 sardines in the same time period.
The festival in Portimao ran from August 4 to 13 and attracted around 74,500 sardine enthusiasts, up 35 percent from last year.

I eat sardines but the ones I like come in a little tin headless and packed in olive oil.

Just how big are those sardines in the picture? Anyone know?:hmm:

Well, in my youth perhaps.
I eat sardines regular, cheap, there are lots of them, and tasty.
Ohh, and healthy!
