If you have the ship targeted you may then put the speed by highlight the speed, pressing the "0" key on your keyboard, pressing enter, and then it should be good. You can input any number this way. Ensure that you press the speech bubble. ENSURE YOU HAVE A MAN ON THE TDC! You must also give the game other garbage data and you must identify the ship.

Otherwise, simply put the speed to zero on the TDC and aim. At zero speed nothing matters other than the bearing.
