Hello everyone,
I think this would be the best place to ask, because this is the only place where you can find such passionate U-boat fans. I am trying to produce a podcast in Polish about the war in the Atlantic, specifically about the Kriegsmarine's adherence to Article 22 of the London Naval Treaty. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/London_Naval_Treaty https://ihl-databases.icrc.org/en/ih...930/article-22 Article 22 regulates submarine warfare and behavior towards merchant ships. Do you have or know of any materials that research this topic? I have a general idea of the subject, but the general idea is not supported by any research. I often hear that the Kriegsmarine conducted unrestricted submarine warfare from September 1939. From what I know, it wasn't quite like that, and while the Germans had hopes for peace with Great Britain, they tried to stick to the rules (don't sink ships, search them, if necessary, send a signal to sink the ship, allow the crew to disembark, etc.). I would be grateful for any suggestions. Thanks! |
