blocking ships in periscope

Hi, I can't block ships in uboat when I'm in periscope. How do I do that?

You can check if you have a crew member with a high navigation or observation skill assigned to help get the target lock quicker.

you have targeted the unit, press E or click with the mouse on the unit.
