Few small errors corrected, nothing really bad...Please redownload version 6.4.

No need to restart career, install 6.4 corrected in bunker!

Thanks to Anvart for pointing those few errors

Default Escorts don't spot a u-boat right next to them.

Hi Fifi;
Hope all is well. This is with a "stock" install of the mod, version before 6.4. March 1941, western approaches, 13 winds but it happens even with 0. This has been an occasional problem with every mod since the 16km world was created and its associated night vision problems including fixes. Disregard the laughable damage model, that's old news.
I've never been able to figure out what is causing it. Any ideas?

Hi John, I’m quite surprised as I usually experience the other way… meaning escorts can spot me further than i think it should
I even tried to adjust the Sim.Cfg without significant success; but here in your case, there is a problem I never had.

Ok sounds good. Thanks, onward and upward. I first noticed it long ago on the Scapa Flow mission testing something else.

Everything seems to work as intended so thanks. But...

Have started three new careers, Bergen, Aug '44, Lorient and St. Nazaire both in January '43. In each case Allied aircraft have killed me even before I can reach the escort separation point.

With ~12 metres under the keel, I suppose carefully diving to periscope depth immediately after leaving the dock might work but that does not seem to be a reasonable fix. At Lorient, the weather even prevented manning the flak guns, which is incredibly frustrating.

Similar attacks happened in GWX3 from time to time when departing on late-war patrols but not every-single-time!

Any suggestions?

There is always a way to leave harbor
Yes, at this time, on 10 U-Boats leaving harbor, 8 were sunk by planes …

Default Congratulations

Hi, Fifi.
Congratulations - your latest version Is AWESOME! The new environment is great - it looks so real.
I was staring at how the lights reflected against a tanker that I almost missed it.
Anyway, after the enchantment, I sunk the Tanker, and the burning ship reflections on the water surface made it look like the oil was spreading around - very well done, Fifi. For real!
Thank you once again for your great contribution to SH3.

What bother me more than the number of u-boat sunk by planes, is the torpedo fix not accurate at all… in 1942, 6 T2 fired all duds and/or premature at zero wind… this didn’t existed. I think I will deactivate it, because even adjusting the .ini, nothing better to see… and I’m not able to fix the.act.

Default Cannot render 3d

Good morning!

Trying to install this mod on my steam deck and I think I’m very close to getting it working!

What’s currently stopping me is the dreaded “Cannot render 3D” message starting the game. So I cannot get into settings and disable full screen, as I’ve seen suggested before.

The game runs fine vanilla. It’s only when I try to apply FiFi’s NYGM. Although it’s the first and only mod I’ve tried.

Does anyone have any tips?

Thank you!!

Hi Millnate, have you tried to lower your PC screen resolution to 1920x1080?
Just an idea…but I’m sure you’ll find out a way to launch it
You’re very close.

Fifi,

Thanks for the response! Can’t wait to play the mod!

I have tried to change screen resolution, and I need to try the refresh rate, but I may not have tried that one. Lots of options between resolution and forcing different protons so I may not have found the correct combination yet… just trying to see if anyone had already figured it out.

Thank you!
