Moira collects curios so she wants to keep it - it'd have to be worth a lot if we were to sell it but it would be interesting to get an estimate of its value

ATTN. MODERATOR!
...now that Moira's puttin' the glom on her only child's Orionid meteorite, this whole thread should be moved to the pre-existing: 'The Latest Horror' thread to save valuable bandwidth!

I can see it now. The prize meteorite on prominent display surrounded by little miner figurines of The Seven Dwarves.

Wow! Glad he's alright. If it does turn out to be a meteorite, he'll have a great story to tell.

I had a similar thing happen to me. An object fell out of the sky and landed close to me while I had been adjusting the Carburetors on my Motorcycle. This happened in the Spring. Upon further examination, I observed the object in question was red and very rectangular in shape. I determined it was a brick and not a meteor and deduced that it had fallen not from the sky but rather came from a neighbor who lofted it over the fence. Apparently, It was to show his displeasure with me over my interruption of his TV viewing of a nature show, Dis-functional Squirrels and the Nuts who love them.

In all seriousness, your Meteor discovery is great. I'm glad Lawrence, your Family or anyone else wasn't hurt by the rock.
