Hms Scylla and Hms Charybdis were Dido class criuser's also they were sister ships.

HMS Scylla was a Dido-class cruiser of the Royal Navy. She was built by Scotts Shipbuilding & Engineering Co. (Greenock, Scotland) , with the keel being laid down on 19 April 1939. She was launched on 24 July 1940, and commissioned 12 June 1942.
One of two sisters (the other was, appropriately, Charybdis, Scylla was originally completed with four twin 4.5 in Mk III in UD MK III mountings because of a shortage of 5.25 in mountings.
The forward superstructure was considerably modified to accommodate these and also to increase crew spaces. Naturally they were known as the 'toothless terrors', but proved much better anti-aircraft ships than their sisters armed with the more cumbersome and less satisfactory 5.25 in AA guns.



HMS Scylla served with the Home Fleet on Arctic convoy duties until she sailed for Gibraltar on 28 October 1942. The following month she was at the French North Africa landings (Operation Torch) as part of Force "O" with the Eastern Task Force, but in December was sent into the Bay of Biscay as part of the effort to catch homecoming Axis blockade runners.
On 1 January 1943 she intercepted the German Rhakotis some 200 miles north-west of Cape Finisterre in position 45.01° N 10.50° W, when the Scylla opened fire the Germans scuttled the ship. In February she returned to the Home Fleet for Arctic convoys, but was back in the Bay of Biscay by June 1943 to cover anti-submarine operations.
In September 1943 she was part of the Support Carrier Force at the Salerno landings (Operation Avalanche), but came home to refit for duty as an Escort Carrier Flagship in October, which lasted until April 1944. She was present at the Normandy landings as Flagship of the Eastern Task Force.
On 23 June 1944 she was badly damaged by a mine and declared a Constructional Total Loss. Although towed to Portsmouth, she was not disposed of until 1950, after being used in the ship target trials between 1948 to 1950. She arrived at Thomas W Ward Ltd, (Barrow-in-Furness, UK) in 4 May 1950 for breaking up.

Dido class - rearmed 8 x 114 mm (4.5) (eg. HMS Ark Royal main A-A artilery)
114mm (4.5'') shell = 24.95KG / range max. 18 196m
133mm (5.25") shell = 38.5kG / range max. 21 400M

German large destroyers uses 127mm (5") main artilery or 150mm (~6")
This very problematic sucesful fight against this destroyers..
Generaly good A-A Cruisers - no efective armament anty ships....

Look's very nice jack_410 you have done a very good job.
Before i download this will it work with GW? and do i need to change anything in any of my file's for the ships to appear in game?

zon file is GW.1.1 + various (NYGM ~2.0) - if you no want NYGM change this file:
- copy orginal file NDD_C&D/NDD_C&D.zon (no NYGM) in to NDD_Codrton folder
- deleyte NDD_Codrton.zon
- rename NDD_C&D.zon -> NDD_Codrton.zon
This addon added Royal Nawy 12 destroyers "Admirality Leaders" and one in to Royal Australian Navy
Generaly this destroyers replacent Codrington destroyers Uboat War Ace/Crotio...
Is non sense uses my HMS Hardy and another HMS Hardy from other addon ..

No oter reasons for the game file....
Possible my next projekt - reedition C-D class destroyers - change wrong bridge(change closed in to open - RN prefered - look my "leaders") - change deck texture (cast - no wood)..

Generaly this addon no change any others files..
Ewentualy if you uses campaign map uses Codrington classdestroyers (Uboat War Ace ect.) and you instal my addon, and you deleyte this Codrington Class destroyers from Sea and Rooster - game crashes... game after loading campaign file, search deleyted class .
Very sory my english...

One problem - corect clas name by GermanNames - my german is worse on my english..
My proposition "Admirality Leaders" (ew. + "zerstorer") in my "look" is no good...

Yes will work in GW ok and no you dont have to change anything
When .rnd calls for generic type=4 it could be this or any of the other DD
