Default Losing a bit of confident

Been watching most of the advance videos on YT and I'm beginning to lose a bit of confidence in the game. I'll still buy it as we need people putting in time and efforts for games like this but I don't know how much play time I'll give it until I see the proper mods or have time to correct some of the obvious mistakes myself.

Perfect example in the Kirov vs Iowa scenario that was being showcased by a few people in the last few days.

I'm going to refer all the Soviet system with their NATO reference as it was how we refer to them back then since I was actually in the US defense industry back in the Carter, Reagan, Ford era. I'm going to quote some figure off wiki or other published data where I think they are close enough and I'll offer opinion without naming source where they're off by a far margin.

Wiki refer to any missile flying below 50 meters as sea skimming. I'm ok with that. I have Soviet sale package from international air shows listing SA-10 low ceiling as 100 meters. They claimed to have reduce it to 25 meter for the SA-N-6 but given how they tend to overshype all their system. The real low ceiling is probably 150 meters for the SA-10 and 40-50 meters for the SA-N-6.

That means that the SA-N-6 is totally incapable of engaging an incoming Harpoon or Exocet which flys no more than 10 meter above sea clutter and lower during the final engagement envelope. Just look at the following video or any of the Harpoon test video on the web.

The USS Durham have a beam of 82ft and a draft of 25 feet. So you assume the hull extends about another 25-30ft above the waterline. Just look at where the missile hit and you can estimate high the Harpoon was flying when it hit the ship. Yes this is a test on calm sea or low sea state but you can assume that the Harpoon will basically fly just a few meters above sea/radar clutter. So even if the claim of a 25 meters low ceiling is true on the SA-N-6, there's no way it can intercept a Harpoon.
