Anyone know if there's a mod to turn the fairly silly game map into a proper naval chart with depth lines and numbers?
- was something everyone had during WW2. |

What might be cool would be to have a fog-o-war style bathymetry where you only see the depth color variation added to the map if you are actively mapping it with your echosounder.

Yes, it is quite problematic to plan attacks and escapes when you have to wander your mouse all over the map to find the depths. I have a mod that improves accuracy of that at least, but would be wonderful to have a chart that shows it.

In those days, the only sea-floor areas that were pretty well documented, were coastal waters.
But outside the major traffic lanes, it was pretty much anyone's guess, apart from the spoken-word tales of "treacherous rocks just beneath the surface" stories etc.
