A healthy lifestyle for me is not so much about squeezing as much time out for me as possible while turning into a mumbling, dripping, helpless mummy, but to be able to live the years until my death in a self-controlled, self-determined and self-managed way, without great suffering and without outside help, and without becoming a stationary patient in some asylum, be it many years or just a few years before I have to leave this life. As long a life as possible at any cost doesn't play a role in my considerations. The costs - material as non-material - can become very high, and there are worse things to be feared than having to die. Quality of life comes before quantity of life. If you disagree you probably never have really deeply suffered.
Thats why I do the diet and health things I do, and comment on such things like I do. And thats why I see certain politicians, lobbyists and activists as my personal mortal enemies. Because thats what they are. The damage they want to do to me - and us all - aims at my utmost existential core and basis. And yours, too, whether you are aware of it or not. Sounds all reasonable and comprehensible, in my ears at least.

Regarding health and "poisoning", Vitamine D is not a "vitamine" (the definition of this stuff is debatable anyway) but a hormone. "[...] Inadequate levels of vitamin D3 can therefore affect many different systems in the body. The skin's ability to synthesize it decreases with age, which is why people over 65 are a risk group for a mild vitamin D3 deficiency. Symptoms include fatigue, slowed thinking, depression, muscle weakness and cramps, pain in the knees and back, sleep disorders, skin problems, increased susceptibility to infections and bacterial infections. In adults, painful bone softening, osteomalacia, can occur, while a deficiency in children in combination with a calcium deficiency leads to rickets. If a deficiency is detected, vitamin D3 can be substituted with tablets. However, as everywhere else, care must be taken to avoid overdosing, as this can also be harmful. Animal experiments have shown that a chronic excess of vitamin D3 leads to premature ageing. Other possible consequences include cancer, curvature of the spine, skin ageing, damage to the small intestine, testosterone deficiency and impotence. [...]" Translated with DeepL.com (free version) https://mic-berlin.de/vitmain-d-ist-kein-vitamin/ So while "vitamine D" (it is not a "vitamine" but a neurotransmitter) is of course 'good' and useful I would not describe it as a "Wunderwaffe" against all the bad in this world, and especially not for everyone.

![]() The risks of vitamine D overdosing get systematically dramatized and exaggerated to keep people in fear of these bad wicked supplements and at best have them not taking any. They should better buy heavy drugs once they got successfully ill, thats safer. A study from Turkey showed that mistakenly overdosing the dose for several hundred babies in hospitals due to an erratically produced charge of vitamin D that then was distrubuted to dozens of hospitals, had no lasting consequences, and saw the calcidiol in serum levels going back to normal within days. What does overdosing mean in this case? Well: the babies got 4000 (four thousand) times the dose they should get. Factor 4000. You read that right. Some people with certain health conditions must eb given severla hunbdred thoszhand IEs per day, else they do not even score a minimal effect from it. Do not exceed 150,000 IUs for a bolus dose without medical advice, and do not exceed 40,000 IE per day frequently and for many months, take a solid ammount of Magnesium (not Magnesium oxide, however) and take plenty of K2, you are safe, periodid. Dont let yourself getting talked dizzy by doctors and lobbyists who want to scareminger you. They want you sick. Healthy people do not become Big Pharma'S and Big Food's loyal customers. I take 20,000 IE of vitamine D in the 7 dark months of the year, and 10-15 thousand in the summer months. Since almost 5 years now. Just today I saw a new video on YT, some big name scientist has done a soooper-doooper study showing that showed that sugar and plant seed oils are a very, very healthy and work best for your health if consummed together, and aplenty. Still any questions on the state of things and where they want to push us?? If you want it back on white, do bloodwork. Either a calcidiol in serum test that hopefully gives you a result of minimum 60 ngr/ml, but you want it closer to the hundred, believe it. Even levels of 150 and much higher I would no longer worry about if a calcium blood test shows no elevated levels. Whether its needed or beneficial to oush calcidiol levels this way, is somehtign difefrentm I only say even 100-150 is not dangerous in itself. You could also do a calcium test alone, thats much cheaper than a calcidiol test. If there is no problem with your calcium in blood, stop worrying for your vitamin D level being too high. If your doc tells you you do not need more than 60, or that you should drop it when you are closer to 80 or even 100 or that it is not beneficial - flee immediately an find a better qualified doctor. High calcium can be one of several indicators for osteoporosis which is becoming a desease of the younger ones now, too. you can suffer from that even when you take much vitamin D, because vitmine D is not directly involved in bringing calcium into bone and teeth and keep it there. Vitamine D and A allow forming of osteocalcine and matrix GLA protein, which do these jobs of transportation - but only if they got activated, hydroxilated by vitamin K2. like you must turn the key to launch the car engine. No key - no drive. In this case: start consuming very high doses of vitamine K2. Several thousand mcgr per day!! Vitamine D alone does not do the trick against osteoporosis. You must cure your K2 deficiency. And thats practically all one needs to know about the "big" risk of overdosing vitamine D, that is bull. Kidney failure, cancer, early death - forget it. Scaremongering. D3 together with K2, Mg (not as oxide), and then lean back.

Magnesium oxide is almost insoluable in water. It will not get released from its salt, as long as it is not soluable. Gastric acid helps to disolve it, but its a hard job for the body, and that is why only a small part of the amount of net magnesium in the magnesium oxide ends up being digestable, I mean: gets extracted in the guts and pulled over into the blood stream. You feel this problem: Magnesium oxide easily causes diarrhea if you take too much of it, and you probably will not be able to take as much of it as your body needs to slowly compensate the magnesium deficit and full up its reserves that according to various views affect 45-65% of Western populations. This underlying principle deficiency is hard to heal, it takes many, many months, the attempt will not create effects already after a few weeks. There are various forms in which Magnesium binds, all of them that are not oxide have the advantage to be much easier soluable, and thus hava much higher bio availabilty: you absorb more of the net magnesium content included than with Magnesium oxide. That leads to the situaiton that you may have a magnesium form that has less net content of Magnesium per capsule than that Magneisium oxide you have , nevertheless your body will gain more net magnesium from it than from the capsule with Magnesium oxide and its higher net content of magnesium. Very importnt, many people suffer from loose stool if taking just a tiny bit too much of Magnesium oxide, me too. I learned I could completely bypass that symptom by taking a preparation that is made not just with Magnesium oxide, but also -glycinate, -malmat, citrite, and -ascorbat. All these different forms also have varying other secondary positve effects on your organs thta m ake them all slightly different from each other. You have this problem of varying bioavailabuiliy with many nutrients in your food, also you may benefit from offering different forms of one and the same element. For example, iodine and iodide (iodine salt that is) both adress different functions and purposes in your body and cells while sharing others, you want both forms of it, although once inside the cell iodide gets reduced to elemental iodine again. Nutritional supplementation should not be done with a picky approach of just a few singled-out items - if you do it like you eat your ordinary food (which supplements should not replace but supplement only, thats why we call them that). Supplement broadly, a widely varying broadside of different ammunitions, and have certain micronutrients in it in different forms, if possible. They all may work together (some block each other from getting assimilated of you take them together however and are not separated by 2-4 hours or so, thats why I recommend not to use multi-vitamine pills), they all need also many co-factors the body must have in its ready-racks, else the supplemnts just pass through your guts and get thrown out and you spent the money and have little to no benefit, but your pee and poop is precious and costly. ![]() The erosion if our fields and agriculkturla soil has led to a situation when practically all - at leats nmost of - our veggies and fruits nowadays contain just fracitons of the micro-nutrients they once contained. And if you think you still must eat apples, at least stay away from the sweet ones, prefer the soar ones. Edit: bioavsilabultiuy, the one supolement that maybe is mroe affected by this than any other, is vitamine C. Vitamine C is water soluable and is not stored for long in the body if you are not ill. Most people take it as Ascorbat, but they have almost no benefit form that, they either must run to the toilet becasue the took too much, which you do eaisly when you are not ill, or it gets excreted verxy quickly with the urin: you would need ot take doses of it every 1-2 hours, and then woukd have a prbem with the dusprutoons yourconstant toiletbraces cause. Better take it as the - slightly more expnsive - liposomal vitam ine C. It bypasses all torbles in the guts compelktely, and cna be stored by the body for hours and hours and hours. If oyu are sick, you cna reach vitmaine C levels with this that usually only can get achieved by giving it as infusions. When you are ill, you will find that the demand for and tolernac eof vitmiane C in yoru body explodes, by factors, even by low two digit factors. They want to demonise it a lot, and like with vitmniane D'S demonizaiton its all bull so that their profit interests from selling heavy drugs get not touched upon. For some time the free selling of vitmniane C in the US, in the 80s, was even prohibited, but they could not sustain it, thankfully.
