Greetings to you all
For the past few years I've been uploading my digital stockpile of ship plans to the Webarchive: https://archive.org/details/ship-des...ngs?sort=title So I have plans for AOG-4 here: https://archive.org/details/aog4bogp194x And here are plans for APA-33: https://archive.org/details/apa33bogp1966 At the moment I've uploaded about 1630 sets of plans for warships and merchant ships from the period 1900 - 2024 (mostly covering 1900 - 1945), so plenty of possible targets (to design) for you.... An index/catalogue spreadsheet for the collection can be downloaded here: https://archive.org/details/ship_des...awings_indexv1 Once the page is opened, you can download the spreadsheet by clicking on the button "excel" under "Download Options". The manual for the spreadsheet can be found in the text that pops up in the viewer. I have a page on Facebook where I post links to my latest uploads, so like or follow that page for updates https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100087330922805 And yes, this is all for free, I'm not making any money out of this hobby of mine veel plezier en groeten uit Den Haag sample: |

Hello! First of all, thank you very much for sharing all these detailed blueprints! ![]() Now, about these blueprints, the main drawback is that the lines plan is almost never shown, so you can't actually create a correct 3D shape of the hull. Most probably, you already know what is a lines plan, but for those who don't know, here is a good explanation: https://smoothslatestudios.wordpress...c-explanation/ Of course, there is still the possibility to use the above views of the different decks to create a proper hull's shape, but it's more difficult because decks are not perfectly horizontal. But it depends on ships. For instance, HMAS Westralia decks are nearly horizontal, so the deformation will be very slight, and the imprecision will be acceptable.
