i suspect that the mod is not applied the way it should...probably because the Data folder was nested one level too deep. ![]() Generic Mod Enabler - v2.6.0.157 [C:\Ubisoft\GFO\MODS] 101 GFO_Game Fixes Only Mod v1.1 110 Stop The Shouting 180 MaxOptics IV for GFO 1.1 185 Medals Fix IV for v1.5 - STOCK by CapnScurvy 500 jimimadrid Torpedos 600 - 3000 Yard Bearing Tool (1920x) 610 Webster's 300' Underwater Visability for v1.5

No clue what that means...I'm not a computer tech guy. My JSGME folder - when I finally managed to find it - doesn't have anything like that.

if you are going to play SH4 and use mods to enhance your play, you need to get familiar with JoneSoft Generic Mod Enabler (JSGME). store JSGME.exe in the same folder as SH4.exe and then run it the first time. it will create a MODS folder under your SH4 game folder. then, you will place a copy of the mod(s) into the MODS folder, making sure that the highest level of the mod is a descriptive name (for your benefit) and the next level of folder is Data. this is the same pattern that Ubi used for SH4. Most mods come like this, ready-to-use although sometimes there is an extra level of folder that you have to manage-around. For example: C:\Ubisoft\Dark Waters\Data C:\Ubisoft\Dark Waters\Mods\Mod_Name\Data then launch JSGME, and select the mods you want to apply in the left hand panel, in the order that you want them applied and click the directional arrow that points right. the selected mods will be applied and visually move form the left side to the right side. when you want to change the order or get rid of the mod, launch JSGME and select the mod from the right panel and unapply it. this is not very technical...and it is somewhat intuitive, once you do it a couple of times. have confidence. ![]() ![]()

My SH4 is located in Documents, so I put JSGME in that folder. SH4 folder now contains two folders: 'data' and 'JSGME_ModEnabler'. JSGME has a 'MODS' folder. I pasted the Medals Fix mod into it. Opened JSGME and that was the only mod to activate. Activated the mod. Ran SH4 and it's still showing the stock game medals.

notice the Data Folder and also the Mods folder which is created the first time you launch JSGME. you place your mods under the \MODS folder shown. ![]()

The only Ubisoft folder I found on my computer was located in the Program Files (x86) folder. Did everything you guys said to do...added JSGME, ran it, placed the Medals Fix mod in the MODS folder, and then ran the game.
No luck...it's still showing the stock game medals. And I've tried doing this with two different medal fix mods for the stock game.

re-install SH4 in a different folder than one controlled by the Windows OS. try something like C:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 4\ then install JSGME and then your mods.
