Thanks for the replies so far.

So I was just about to order a CVA Scout in 45-70 after seeing how poorly most 450 bushmaster bolt actions seem to feed, but then I started looking at frugal night vision rifle scope options and it seems like 45-70 isn't so great for shock in regard to scopes? What rifle & night vision rifle scope would you chose if you wanted to hunt wild hogs on your own ranch property at night in Texas? Probably only taking one animal at a time.

I've already got a bolt action .308 that I could probably use, but I kind of liked the idea of having some artillery.
