ADMINISTRATOR PERMISSION Please?

Hi, propbeanie, many thanks for yor reply.

Have set the above, as you have suggested but am still geting the Red/White box with the message:-

"An administrator has blocked you from running this app"

The Only other thing I have I wondered is if I could scrap all the Administrator Settings and Leaving me as the only Administrator on the Computer?

Ratz... How many accounts are on your computer, and what type of user are you logging in as? (regular user, or administrator??)

Administrators(DESKTOP-PPEKU1J\Administrators)

pardon me for jumping in here.....

i just purchased a refurb HP laptop and installed SH4 under a non-admin account to use for normal, everyday stuff, like playing SH4.

first time i launched it i got the red-screen-of-death.
then i noodled around (technical term) in the Properties-Security window and found a solution. this may work for you.

right click on sh4.exe and click on the Security tab.
Click on the Advanced button near the bottom of Properties-Security.
Click on the Effective Access tab.
Click on the Select a User link. enter the local user name you are using on your PC. click ok.
then ok yourself back out to the desktop.
launch sh4.exe.

try it.
