Has anyone landed a hit or kill at medium or deep depths? depths?

With the AI as is, it often stays at shallow depths and only periodically is at medium or deep depths. I don't have many opportunities to hit it at deeper depths, so has anyone managed to hit or kill a uboat at medium or deep depths?

If you vector 2 or more escorts to the same target, it tends to send it to deep more frequently than otherwise, although not for long.

I've got a few kills at medium, but none so far at deep. Most are shallow.

Getting any kill seems a bit too difficult. I've had three direct hits in a run, complete with oil slick, only to find that the U-Boat keeps sailing and attempting to engage the convoy.

The U-Boats are like drones, not vessels full of humans. They have no regard for their own safety and survival.

I also wish that when I score successful kills on all attackers, the mission wasn't suddenly terminated with a victory video. I'd like to be able to continue sailing and playing with the ship until I decide to end the mission.

A free roam mode would be nice. And a key to toggle the UI. And more freedom to look about and perhaps even move on the bridge and at other stations. Plus, some player controllable British and Canadian vessels, as well as some controllable later war hunter-killer groups. After that, an Eastern front DLC with Soviet vessels.

I finally got a couple of kills at deep, with depth charges set to, "Realistic", but it doesn't seem to come up very often. Most drops are at shallow or medium.
